We Host Democracy Meetings & Events Throughout the year, the AU Watch’s Governing Council meets twice a year in their Annual General Council meetings to set priorities, carry out political consultations, and govern the day-to-day work of the organization. Other meetings and conferences are held virtually across the organisation, organized by the AU Watch field operations, institutions and Secretariat on a range of governance and democracy topics.
We regularly hold events. These events bring together government representatives, international organizations, NGOs and UN agencies, academics and the media to share good practices, lessons learned, new solutions and innovative approaches to address security and co-operation. For example, we meet to decide on our political course with our members and the council. We organise conferences, hold lectures to learn about democracy. We regularly come together to network. We carry out political actions to push forward our campaigns.
