Are you ready? 2020 is going to be a BIG year for us to use our power and reclaim our democracy for gender rights and inclusion—for everyone. Join us at the 2020 Women’s March in The Gambia and in many other cities around Africa on International Women’s day!

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. To celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8th, here are eight ways to empower daughters, sisters, and mothers around the world while simultaneously bolstering the fight against global poverty.

Attend an Event – PROTEST RESOURCES & TOOLKITS
Right now, AU Watch activists around the world are organizing and joiningpeaceful protests and vigils in their communities. Help us make sure that the AU and its Members hear us by joining or organizing a protest, vigil, or hosting a space where people can make phone calls and write letters to AU officials, and submit your event so it’s listed on our events page.
